Warehouse Coordinator

White Horse Plastics (est.1973) is an Oxfordshire based injection moulding company specialising in the design and production of tight tolerance components for the medical, automotive and UK manufacturing sectors. We currently have 30+ employees and are based in Stanford-in-the-Vale, just off the A420 between Oxford & Swindon.

We are looking for a candidate with experience working in warehousing and logistics, although similar skills will be considered. We need a team player who is ready to work closely with our Operations and Production staff to create an efficient interface between the manufacturing and warehouse functions of our business.

Skills and experience:

You will not be micromanaged in this role, so you will need to be a self-starter; able to plan and prioritise your own workload.
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar is preferred, but not essential.
Forklift experience and current qualifications would be an advantage - but training and refresher courses can be provided.
Good general computer skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy, with a methodical approach to work.
Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.

Key duties:

Manage the warehouse regarding cleanliness and general tidiness, promoting a safe working environment.
Receive and process incoming finished goods from the shop floor and material deliveries from suppliers.
Pick and pack orders for shipment, liaising with hauliers and couriers to release on time deliveries.
Organise and maintain inventory in the warehouse ensuring FIFO (first in first out) stock rotation.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment, including daily safety checks.
Raise all concerns regarding warehouse duties to the Production/Logistics Manager in good time.
Prepare customers' orders for release and liaise with hauliers and couriers for on time deliveries.
Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
Please note that this role is hands on and involves a lot of (safe) manual handling and time on your feet, so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
